Parent Letter for Library Science Continuity of Education Plan

Dear PAES Families,

My name is Mrs. Wyant and I teach Library Science Class on the 8-member Related Arts Team. I hope your families are safe and healthy. As the school district prepares to begin a continuity of education plan, I want to give you some information, enrichment resources, and explain how we will proceed for now.

You will receive a letter from the Related Arts teachers in a student packet supplied by his or her homeroom teacher. In there, you will see a simple activity or two from each of us. The activities I offer in the packet are designed with everyone in mind. As you know, not everyone has devices or the Internet available in their homes. Luckily, technology does not always mean we have to be in front of a screen! There are many behind-the-scenes tasks that can be fun and easy.

If you would like more enrichment activities, and have access to the Internet, there is an overwhelming amount of resources that I have posted on my PAES Teacher Page under my name.  These sites offer free electronic books to read and explore. You can decide with your family, if any, of these are right for your given situation.

The most important thing is to stay healthy. Certainly, don’t stress about my class or turning in library books. Hopefully, things will be back to normal soon.
