Greetings! As librarian, my goal is to get your child to love books. We will go on many wonderful and exciting adventures.
Library Activities: May 26 - May 29
Library: Pick a different place to read/listen to a story everyday this week and read for at least 20 minutes a day. Some of my favorite places include: taking a blanket and reading outside in the sun/shade, sitting on the floor beside my dog’s bed, laying in my bed, etc. My own kids have made a “reading nest” using blankets and pillows (it looks just like a bird’s nest but much larger). Feel free to share with me the different places where you read.
Purpose: Reading every day makes sure that you're constantly exposing yourself to new information/adventures and building your knowledge base including your vocabulary. The more time you spend reading and learning, the faster you'll be able to connect new concepts and recognize patterns.
