Superintendent Goals for 2024-2025 School Year

Goal 1

Student Growth / Achievement

  • Formation of a committee to analyze possible school year changes based on new PDE regulations of either 180 days or 900 / 990 hours. 
  • Create Administrative Regulations for implementation of Policy 815.1 (Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education).

Goal 2

Organizational Leadership

  • Visibility via hall walks  
  • 10 classroom observations PAES & 10 classroom observations PAHS.
  • Will attend after school activities.  
  • Transition for new leadership / new superintendent

Goal 3

District Operations and Financial Management

  • To work directly with the business administrator to monitor the current budget and to create the 25-26 budget. 
  • Will lead PASD through Capital Improvements.

Goal 4

Communication and Community Relations

  • Will continue to implement procedures that enable all district electronic / social media communication processes to be current and up-to-date. 
  • PASD Superintendent Parent Council will meet 2 times. 
  • Will conduct 3 meetings of the PASD SAC (Superintendent Academic Council) with teachers / administrators from both PAHS and PAES. 
  • The PASD Support Staff Council will meet 3 times. 
  • Create a Student Advisory Group for each building, grades 9 /12 & grades 5 / 6. Will meet with each group 2 times.

Human Resources Management

  • Will meet with all district operational directors on a monthly basis.
  • Will meet with the teachers’ union leadership once per month.
  • Will meet with the support staff union leadership once per month.

Superintendent Goals for 2023-2024 School Year

At the School Board meeting on June 11, 2024, the Board of School Directors confirmed that Dr. Lesniewski has completed his goals for the 2023 - 2024 school year in a satisfactory manner.  The motion passed with a 8-0 vote.

 

Goal 1

Student Growth / Achievement

    • Oversee the PAES Academic Leveling Process / Framework for Grade 4, Grade 5 and Grade 6.
    • To monitor the year 2 implementation of the Covey Leadership Program for both students and staff.
Goal 2
Organizational Leadership
    • To be visible within the organization and community.
    • I will conduct 10 classroom observations in the elementary building and 10 classroom observations in the secondary building.
    • Will attend after school activities.

At the School Board meeting on June 6, 2023, the Board of School Directors confirmed that Dr. Lesniewski has completed his goals for the 2022 - 2023 school year in a satisfactory manner.  The motion passed with a 9-0 vote.


Goal 1

Student Growth / Achievement

  • To work with principals and department directors / supervisors to successfully implement the COVID Learning Loss Programs that will be implemented during the 22-23 school year. 
  • To monitor the year 1 implementation of the Covey Leadership Program for both students and staff. 

Goal 2

Organizational Leadership

  • To be as visible as possible in my role as superintendent within the organization and community.  
  • I will conduct a minimum of 10 classroom observations in the elementary building and 10 classroom observations in the secondary building.
  • Will also attend after school activities whenever possible.

At the School Board meeting on June 7, 2022, the Board of School Directors confirmed that Dr. Lesniewski has completed his goals for the 2021 - 2022 school year in a satisfactory manner.  The motion passed with a 8-0 vote.

Superintendent Goals for 2020-2021 School Year

At the School Board meeting on June 8, 2021, the Board of School Directors confirmed that Dr. Lesniewski has completed his goals for the 2020 - 2021 school year in a satisfactory manner.  The motion passed with a 8-0 vote.

Goal 1

Student Growth / Achievement

  • To work with principals and department directors / supervisors to successfully implement the PDE COVID-19 instructional plan for the 20-21 school year being flexible to meet all possible student needs. 
  • To monitor the implementation of year one of the PAHS iPad project (teacher training).
  • Will conduct 5 meetings of the PASD SAC (Superintendent Academic Council) with teachers / administrators from both PAHS and PAES to discuss current and future academic issues / needs, if appropriate based on COVID-19 requirements. 

Goal 2

Organizational Leadership

  • To be as visible as possible in my role as superintendent within the organization and community.  
  • I will conduct a minimum of 10 classroom observations in the elementary building and 10 classroom observations in the secondary building. Along with these 10 observations, I will also conduct a separate walkthrough observation for each teacher I observe based on COVID requirements during the school year. 
  • Will also attend after school activities at a rate of two per week based on COVID-19 requirements.

  • To work directly with the business administrator to monitor current budget and to create the 21-22 budget.
  • Will lead the district through the Phase 2 of our Capital Improvement Study. 
  • Will work with PSBA to update current district policies.

  • The PASD Superintendent Parent Council that will meet every other month to open lines of communication with my office, if possible under COVID restrictions.

At the School Board meeting on June 9, 2020, the Board of School Directors confirmed that Dr. Lesniewski has completed his goals for the 2019 - 2020 school year in a satisfactory manner.  The motion passed with a 7-0 vote.

 

Goal 1
Student Growth / Achievement

  • To work with principals and department directors / supervisors to improve student growth. Will monitor the process to improve Advanced Placement scores at PAHS. Will monitor the implementation of the Into Reading with IRead program at PAES.

  • Will continue working with teachers union to create a viable, local cyber school for students who seek this alternative.

  • Will conduct 5 meetings of the PASD SAC (Superintendent Academic Council) with teachers / administrators from both PAHS and PAES to discuss current and future academic issues / needs.

 
Goal 2
Organizational Leadership
  • To be as visible as possible in my role as superintendent within the organization and community.

  • I will visit all classrooms in the district at the start of the school year to enable staff and students to be able to get to understand my leadership priorities. I will conduct a minimum of 10 classroom observations in the elementary building and 10 classroom observations in the secondary building. Along with these 10 observations I will also conduct a separate walkthrough observation for each teacher I observe.

  • Will also attend after school activities at a rate of two per week.

     

Goal 3
District Operations and Financial Management

  • To work directly with the business administrator to monitor current budget and to create the 20-21 budget.

  • Will lead the district through the initial stages of our Capital Improvement Study.

  • Will monitor the needed changes at PAES in dealing with student bathroom usage, playground areas and parking needs for special events.

  • Will work with PSBA to update all current district policies.

     

Goal 4
Communication and Community Relations

  • Will continue to implement procedures that keeps all district electronic media communication process current and up to date.

  • Create a PASD Facebook page to communicate the positive events at PASD. The district will use this social media format to highlight the positive activities that occur during the school year.

  • Implement a PASD App for both students and parents to another current communication method.

 

Goal 5

Human Resources Management

  • Will meet with all district operational directors on a monthly basis.
  • Will continue to monitor our electronic substitute system / process.
  • Will meet with the teachers union leadership once per month.
  • Will meet with the support staff union leadership once per month.
  • Will create a PASD Support Staff Council that will meet every other month to open lines of communication with my office.
  • Will create a PASD Teacher Council that will meet every other month to open lines of communication with my office.

Superintendent Goals for 2018-2019 School Year

At the School Board meeting on June 11, 2019, the Board of School Directors confirmed that Dr. Lesniewski has completed his goals for the 2018-2019 school year in a satisfactory manner.  The motion passed with a 7-0 vote.

 

Goal 1

Student Growth / Achievement

  • To work with principals and department directors / supervisors to develop building goals to increase student achievement on state tests and local assessments. The measurement for the goal would be an increase of 2% of the overall PASD PSSA results as compared to the 2017-2018 school year.

 

Goal 2

Organizational Leadership

  • To be as visible as possible in my role as superintendent within the organization and community.
  • I will visit all classrooms in the district at the start of the school year to enable staff and students to be able to get to understand my leadership priorities. I will conduct a minimum of 10 classroom observations in the elementary building and 10 classroom observations in the secondary building.
  • Will also attend after school activities at a rate of two per week.
  • Improved positive engagement as viewed by administrators / teachers / staff measured by the Superintendent Survey.

 

Goal 3

District Operations and Financial Management

  • To work directly with the business administrator to monitor current budget and to create the 19-20 budget.
  • Will lead the district through the final completion of the stadium project.
  • Will lead the district through the first year of having all student buildings on one campus..
  • Will update two school district school board policies per month.

  • Will continue to implement procedures that keeps all district electronic media communication process current and up to date.

 

Goal 5

Human Resources Management

  • Will meet with all district operational directors on a monthly basis.
  • Will complete the update process of all current district job descriptions to meet current federal and state requirements.
  • Lead the negotiations for the Support Personnel Contract which expires June 30, 2018.
  • Lead the process to create a new MOU for Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, Administrative Assistant to the Business Administrator and Administrative Assistant for Payroll which expires on June 30, 2019.
  • Lead the process to update the Athletic Department Staff Salary Schedule with expires at the end of the 2018-2019 school year.
  • Lead the process to create a new contract for the Business Administrator position which expires on June 30, 2019.

  • To be as visible as possible in my role as superintendent within the organization and community.  
  • I will visit all classrooms in the district at the start of the school year to enable staff and students to be able to get to understand my leadership priorities.  I will conduct a minimum of 1 classroom observations in each elementary building and four classroom observations in each secondary building.  
  • Will also attend after school activities at a rate of two per week.

At the Board Meeting on June 28, 2017 the school board passed the following motion by a 7 to 0 affirmative vote:

“Confirmation that Dr. Lesniewski has completed his goals for the 2016-2017 school year in a satisfactory manner.”

 
Goal 1

Student Growth / Achievement

  • To work with principals and department directors / supervisors to develop building goals to increase student achievement on state tests and local assessments.

 

Goal 2

Organizational Leadership

  •  To be as visible as possible in my role as superintendent within the organization and community.

  • Will conduct a review of current electronic communication processes used in the district that will include the district website, student management system and current social media outlets.

  • Will set up an organizational meeting structure to meet with all district operational directors on a monthly basis.
  • Will review all building’s student master schedules to make sure staff is fully utilized.
  • Will review job duties of the Assistant Business Manager to determine her best role in Human Resource Management.
