I can't think of a time in my life when I wasn't creating art in one way or another. My earliest memories are of following my Pap and Dad around Pap's wood shop or singing with my mom, grandma and sister. I learned not only how to use the tools to create but also how to brainstorm, transfer my ideas to paper, think critically, question, and critique. Without realizing it they taught me how to see the math, science, reading, writing and critical thinking involved in visual and performing art. I grew up surrounded by creativity and encouraged by family to pursue my interests in the arts. Art has always been a driving force in my life taking me on an amazing journey that has lead me here to PASD. I am excited to work with such a great team of educators and have enjoyed getting to know the faculty, staff, students, parents, and community here in Punxsutawney. I look forward to sharing more of my excitement and enthusiasm for teaching, art, preparing students for the future, and incorporating technology into the classroom here at Punxsutawney.
