The purpose of this drill is to allow school personnel to test a new internal emergency communication system and ensure that our procedures are effective and efficient.
During a Classroom Hold:
Students will remain in their classrooms
Regular instruction will continue as normal
No students will be permitted in the hallways without an escort
A Classroom Hold is a general-use safety protocol designed to keep students away from a situation until it is resolved. This protocol may be used in a variety of situations, including:
Medical (EMS) incidents prior to class transitions
Safety sweeps such as a drug dog search
Please note: This is only a drill, and there is no cause for concern.
