My name is Mrs. Angela States and I am the Title I teacher at Bell Township elementary school. I earned my Early Childhood degree from IUP in 1997 and decided to continue my education in 2010. I earned my Masters in Education with a Reading Specialist certification from Clarion University in 2014. Over the years I have taught preschool, been a substitute teacher and an Americorps Pa Reads teacher, all within the Punxsutawney Area School District.
I live in Punxsutawney with my husband Curt and our three children, Emilee, 19, Heather, 15, and Evan, 14. Emilee is currently attending the Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh and will graduate in March 2016. Heather and Evan attend PAHS and are active in sports. Heather plays soccer and softball and Evan enjoys cross country and track.
I love the color green, summer and fall are my favorite seasons, and I really do not like the cold at all! In my spare time, which is hard to come by sometimes, I enjoy reading, crafting, sewing, and spending time with my family.
I am beyond excited to be teaching in this school district and to be part of a team of great teachers that will aid in the learning of the wonderful students in this community. I am looking forward to a great year!
