Welcome to my teacher website!

SUBJECT: Art I, Art III, Clay I, Clay II

GRADE: 9-12

hi bitmojiOriginally hired to teach at the Middle School, I have become a driving force at the High School since the schools consolidated in 2018.

My background is quite diverse, I graduated from Edinboro University in 1988 with a degree in fine arts with a main concentration in Drawing, minors in Art History and Textile Design.  From Edinboro, I moved to Rochester, NY to attend Graduate School at Rochester Institute of Technology.  While there, I earned a Master's of Art in Printmaking with minor concentrations in Glass Fabrication and Textile Design.   It was here, while working as a graduate assistant, that I discovered my love for teaching.  In Rochester, I met my future husband--we roamed the country, eventually married, and in 1995 moved back to Pennsylvania.  I returned to school, and attended Indiana University of Pa to obtain my teaching certification.  In 2000 I started my teaching career as a substitute teacher in Armstrong County and Clearfield County.  My first teaching job was in Clearfield as a traveling art teacher between the Middle School and the High School.  In 2005 I was hired by PASD to teach Middle School Art.
Since then, I continue to advance my personal teaching knowledge through remaining active, taking education coursework, and various artistic endeavors to hone my visual skills.

My husband, Tim, and I have 4 daughters--Miranda Jean, Robin Nann, Cherise Nicole, and Lillian Marion.  The oldest three are moving on with their lives (college & beyond) The youngest, Lilly, starts high school this year. We live in Home, Pa with our cats--Big Boy, Miss Kitty, Mr Man, our dogs--Gwen & Paco, and somewhere along the way we picked-up a Gecko--Phoenix.
