Class Description, Expectations, and Absences

Course Description

The course is designed to develop a student’s knowledge of the mathematical standards developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Students will cover the following:

Numbers and Number Systems (rational numbers, operations with rational numbers)

Statistics (mode, mean, mean absolute deviation, etc.)

Algebra (one and two step equations and inequalities)

Reasoning

Measurement

Geometry

Problem Solving

Computation and Estimation

Attendance and make up work

  • I will teach the topics in class with examples and real-world applications before giving students time to work and get individual help. 
  • If students are absent, they should get assignments from Canvas and complete them. If students need help with the assignments they should get a green slip and get help during activity period. 

Classroom Expecations

Be respectful, prepared, responsible.

Materials needed for class: 1. Computer      2. Pencil (complete ALL work in pencil)    3. Notebook

Ask permission to leave your seat or the classroom.            

        Sign out EVERYTIME you leave the classroom.
