Welcome to my teacher website!
My name is Heidi Patterson and I am a Reading Specialist here at Punxsutawney Elementary School working with second and third grade. This is my sixth year at Punxsutawney and I am very excited to be a part of this district! I am a graduate of Slippery Rock University with a degree in Elementary Education. I also have a Master's in Reading from SRU and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Gannon University along with Principal Certification. Before coming to Punxsutawney, I taught in Fairfax County, Virginia and at Farrell Area School District and Kennedy Catholic in Mercer County, PA.
I live in Sharon, PA with my husband, Chip. We have three children. My son, James, is 27 and an actor living in LA. My daughter, Kendall, is 23 and is a senior at Duquesne University and my youngest, Reegan, is soon to be 21 and a junior at Slippery Rock University. We also have 2 dogs and 3 cats! During my free time, I love to travel, read, and watch sports! I'm a huge Cleveland Browns fan, Syracuse football and basketball, and University of Kentucky and SRU Basketball. My favorite color is green and my favorite foods are cheeseburgers and lasagna.
