Public Notification and the Safe Drinking Water Act
The Punxsutawney Area School District is required to notify its customers (i.e. parents, students, etc.) in accordance with the Public Notification Rule (PN) which is part of the Safe Drinking Water Act. The rule ensures that customers will know if there is a problem with their drinking water. These notices alert customers if there is risk to public health, or provide information that the water supply system is in compliance based on sampling events that have occurred. The files below have been provided in accordance with this rule.
