Please read this information carefully--our registration process has changed!
Internet Explorer Users: please use Chrome, Safari, or Firefox to access and complete the registration. Internet Explorer does not currently work with our registration survey. We are working to resolve this issue ASAP.
The Punxsutawney Area School District uses SchoolMessenger to send text alerts regarding special announcements, emergencies, delays, closings, and other important notification events. In order to receive these notifications, you must register at the beginning of each school year. PLEASE NOTE: All registrations received prior to September 14, 2017, have been cleared from the system; therefore, you must complete the new registration survey in order to receive notifications for the 2017-2018 school year!
This year, the registration survey has changed. We have added options to allow you to choose which type of alerts you would like to receive. When you register, you will now have the options to receive ALL district text alerts or you can request to only receive text alerts from specific building levels (Elementary, Middle School, and/or High School). Please follow the directions in the survey to add these options when you register.
Click HERE for more important details and to reregister for SchoolMessenger. Please allow 1-2 school days for your registration to be added to the system.
Have you registered for text alerts and still have not received any of our notifications? Text YES to 67587 to opt-in. (You must have registered first before you opt-in.)
Non-Home School Request
As in the past, any Punxsutawney Area School District parent who would like his/her child to attend an elementary school other than the child's designated home school during the 2017-2018 school year must complete and submit a Non-Home School Request Form.("Home School" is the school the child should attend according to residence.) PLEASE NOTE: The process in which to submit Non-Home School Requests has changed. Requests may be submitted online beginning at 8:00 AM on or after June 26, 2017.
