Welcome! I am very excited for the upcoming year at PAHS!

A little about me: I am a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where I earned a degree in Middle Level (4-8) Education with a specialization in English/Language Arts. I earned a master's degree in the incorporation of technology in the classroom through Walden University and am currently working on my Doctor of Education degree. I've been a teacher in the district for the last eight years. I am also the head cheerleading coach for Punxsy, a Student Council adviser, and a member of the Leader in Me Lighthouse Team. GO CHUCKS!

I am originally from the small town of Spartansburg, PA located near Erie. I now live in Punxsutawney with my husband, our three children, and our dog. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, biking, hiking, bowling, and of course, reading and writing (and the not-so-occasional Netflix binge).

About ELA 8: I believe this is going to be a great year! (For detailed information on assignments and deadlines, please see my Canvas page.) In this class, we're going to visit many realms, take many adventures, and have many new experiences. We will read and write stories, poems, essays, articles, and the occasional pun(or two). Discussion and collaboration are key components of my class, and I encourage all students to use their voices - each has something powerful and influential to say.
