SUBJECT: Life Skills Support

GRADE: 3, 4, 5, 6

Greetings Parents and Guardians! Welcome to the 19-20 school year! Welcome back to the veteran parents and students. I am excited to see your faces again. And welcome to our new classmates and parents. I am glad to have you on board with us. As always, I want to help you and your child create a positive experience and navigate any concerns you may have. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me so that we can make this year great together!

I look forward to getting to know your children and all of their unique personalities as well as any growth they have made over the summer. I will be sending out a survey to get to know a little bit more about them. In the meantime, I will provide you with a little information about me. I have worked in the Punxsutawney Area School District for 7 years now. Previously I worked for Charles County Maryland Schools for 6 years. Throughout those 13 years of teaching, I have held many different positions in both special education and elementary education.

I am a Pittsburgh native, and live a little closer to that area along with my three year old daughter, one year old sone, and husband.

We'll be instituting a new Schoolwide Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (SPBIS) program, which I am looking forward to. Stay tuned for updates as we begin this new journey together. (There are some details in the Student Handbook found on the Elementary web page, but more will be coming.)
