What's So Cool About Manufacturing?

Congratulations to the 2019 PAHS What's So Cool About Manufacturing Team!  Their video won an award for Outstanding Videography at the 3rd annual WSCAM Awards Ceremony at Ridgway Area High School on March 12, 2019.  Keep scrolling for photos and more information about the team's accomplishment!

The Punxsy WSCAM Team proudly displays their certificates and trophies after winning the award for Outstanding Videography.  Pictured from left to right are: Carter Savage (Grade 8), Aiden Cameron (Grade 7), Chloe Preslod (Grade 8), and Evie Lott (Grade 7).

 

The team was advised by PAHS faculty members, Mrs. Sarah Peterson and Mr. Matthew Curry.  

 

This was the 3rd annual contest in the North-Central region, but the first year of participation for students from PAHS.  A total of 16 schools competed this year--students in grades 6-8 from Cameron, Clearfield, Elk, Jefferson, McKean, and Potter counties.  Prior to the awards ceremony, the team and their advisors attended a reception/mini career fair featuring several of the sponsoring manufacturers, including Miller Fabrication Solutions, Zippo, and others.

 

Punxsy's video showcased Miller Fabrication Solutions in Brookville, PA, and was one of seven videos awarded in the North Central Region for the quality of their production.
