PAHS, home of the Chucks, sits atop the town of Punxsutawney in north central Pennsylvania and houses grades 8-12.  We are proud to once again be on the forefront of education in the 2015-16 school year by continuing the 21st Century Learning Initiative in grades 8 through 12.

    Special Voting Meeting
    The special voting meeting of the Punxsutawney Area School Board scheduled for Tuesday, August 2, 2016 has been changed to Wednesday, August 3, 2016. The Purpose of this meeting is to consider electing an individual as superintendent.  The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Central Office Board Room, 475 Beyer Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

    Non-Home School Request

    Any PASD parent wanting his/her child to attend an elementary school within the district other than the child’s designated home school for the 2016-2017 school year, must complete and submit a Non-Home School Request Form.  Requests may be submitted to the Elementary Office at West End School (300 Center Street), Monday through Friday from 8:00 am-3:00 pm, until August 19th. All requests will be considered on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be in effect for only one school year.  Final decisions will be made and parents will be notified one week prior to the first student day of the 2016-2017 school year.     Summer Food Service Program
    Free Summer Lunch for kids at the Punxsutawney High School Cafeteria.  June 6 through August 24, 2016(closed July 4).  Hours: Monday through Friday 11:00am to 1:00pm.  Free to anyone age 18 and under. Adult meals available for $3.75.  Food that's in when school is out.

  • Parking Tag Parking Tags For 2016-17 School Year

    Parking tags for the 2015-16 School Year will be given out Thursday, August 4th @ 7:30 am in the High School Office. You can stop by the office, starting July 25th, Monday thru Friday from 8:00 – 2:00 to pick up a registration form that can be completed and ready for distribution of Tags on Thursday. The following information will be needed:  plate number, license number, who it is registered to, color of vehicle and parent permission.

    AmeriCorps Positions Available
