PAHS, home of the Chucks, sits atop the town of Punxsutawney in north central Pennsylvania and houses grades 8-12.  We are proud to once again be on the forefront of education in the 2016-17 school year by continuing the 21st Century Learning Initiative in grades 8 through 12.

    Scholarships for Seniors
    Attention Seniors: applications for local scholarships are now available on our website.  CLICK HERE to visit the list of local scholarships, review the descriptions of each, and download applications.  All applications for local scholarships are due by March 31.  You can also CLICK HERE to visit a list of additional scholarships you may be elligible to receive.  This list of non-local scholarships is updated monthly.

    Kindergarten Registration 2017

    An evening orientation is being planned to prepare parents for registering their child for Kindergarten 2017.  Parents and/or family members of a prospective Kindergarten student that will turn 5 years of age before June 1, 2017, are invited to attend a brief, but very informative orientation meeting on Wednesday, April 12th, at the Punxsutawney Middle School Cafeteria.  The orientation is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm.  For more information, please click on the link below to download the complete announcement.

    Summer Maintenance Help

    Punxsutawney Area School District is accepting applications for Summer Maintenance Help ($7.25/hr.).  Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited post secondary education program. Please submit in one envelope, a letter of interest, Punxsutawney Area School District application (can be found on PASD’s website), and three signed letters of recommendation less than one year old.  Enevelopes should then be sent to Donna Newcome, Administrative Assistant, Punxsutawney Area School District, 475 Beyer Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA  15767 by 3:30 on March 16, 2017.  Act 24, 34, 114, 126, 151 and 168 clearances, physical, TB test and pre-employment drug test will be required if hired.

    PASD Feasibility Study
